Long overdue update

Hey guys,

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged anything. And in truth, it’s because I’ve been fully immersed in several of my current projects.

I try to post updates as often as I can but feel that any spare time I have is often taken up attempting to complete content rather than the ravings of a sleep-deprived author (that doesn’t mean the ravings will cease altogether — my head would explode if it did).

Back to the updates… see what I mean… ravings!!

Firstly, I’m delighted to announce the audiobook for The Hollow Ship is out now on Amazon and Audible. It is a direct sequel to Scourge of the Vector, taking place moments after its conclusion. It’s narrated by the wonderfully talented Ariel Royce, who brings a whole new dimension to my story with her engaging and professional narration. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

With regard to all my audiobooks, I feel very fortunate to have found such great voiceover artists. Like self-publishing novelists going it alone in this competitive market, there’s some amazing talent out there in the voiceover community doing the same. And despite the competitiveness, everyone tries to support one another (a bit twee, I know, but also true).

On my forthcoming novel, I’m still wading through the 2nd draft of The Fractured Peace. It’s currently sitting at 115k words, so it’s gonna be my longest book yet. I’m finding my new method of editing a lot better — working by story arc order as opposed to chronological order (chapters). It means I can tie up any loose ends and plot holes a lot tighter than if I were to bounce from arc to arc in little bits (this approach has the added bonus of there being less chance of my wired mind forgetting something vital which may cause problems with the overall flow of the plot).

And last, but not least, I’m making plot notes on Neon Resistance which I plan to start once The Fractured Peace has been released.

Hope everyone is keeping well, and keeping safe.

All the best,

GJG
